In August 1939, five cousins gather at their aunt's house in Cornwall for their carefree annual summer holiday. Soon, war will change everything. Very minor bumping to top and bottom of spine. Dust jacket in very good state with no tears. Red cloth boards in very good condition. Half title page has offsetting but otherwise clean and unmarked. 297 pages. 225 x 145 mm (8¾ x 5¾ inches).
Synopsis
Mary Wesley was born in 1912. Her education took her to the London School of Economics, and during the war, she worked in the War Office. She published her first novel, Jumping the Queue at the age of seventy. It was followed by nine more. Mary Wesley died in 2002.
