Dublin: Bryan, Taylor & Co, 1894. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. Large Folio., 551pp. Solid First Edition of this massive compendium of th elate conflict. Bound in full burgundy tooled leather with titles in gilt and soldier stamped in gilt on front board. All edges gilt. Decorated end-papers. Loaded with illustrations and photographs including frontis portrait of Lincoln. Solid and quite clean throughout with no toning or foxing. Hinges starting but holding firm. Edges and tips rubbed, Some surface scuffs. Loss to the 3/4" loss of leather to crown and 1/4" loss to heel. End-papers chipped. Gilt still fresh and bright. Not perfect but still complete, collectable copy of an important work at a great price. A good candidate for restoration. Please note: International and Priority orders will require additional postage.
