About This Item
London: The Architectural Press, 1963. This is a very good hardcover copy in a very good dust jacket with light wear. Long ago released from a small British library and bearing only one handstamp from the library on the verso of the title-page. The dust jacket is complete but has some edge wear, repaired short tears. Lacking front free endpaper. Very clean inside and out. Foreword by Ove Arup. Colin Faber was associated with Candela as a student, then a colleague for many years. Still the basic text on Candela and his famous shell design architecture. About 500 black & white photographs, drawings and plans illustrate the book. Bibliography. Essay by Candela on hyperbolic paraboloids. 11" high X 10" wide, 240 pages. Large heavy book, foreign shipping will be extra. This book will be securely wrapped and packed in a sturdy box and shipped with tracking.. First English Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good.
