CANTERBURY: CANTERBURY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE Maroon pebble effect boards with City crest and title blocked in gilt to front, Staple bound. 190 x 250 mm approx. Landscape format. 40 pp. Illustrated title + 69 other monochrome photographic illustrations with captions. Photo credits mainly- H.B.Collis. One page of introductory text. Author not credited. Undated (circa 1910) - dated by reference to advert to reverse of title for the City's official guide book by F B Goldney Mayor 1906-7-8-9. A view book sold as a tourist souvenir published by the City Council. Please see our images of the actual book offered for sale for further details and condition. Cover price per title 6d. Fair - (Book- heavy rubbing to covers, No previous owner name or inscription, mild soiling to end papers, staples rusty and book block nearly pulled from boards). The latter defect can quite quickly be remedied by pulling, removing the staples , gluing a linen mull to back strip, inserting new staples through and then re - casing in original boards with new end papers of one's choice. Book offered and priced as a binding copy.
