Cloth. 441pp. Illustrated with vintage photos of the famous Fort Sill, Indian Territory frontier photographer of wild Indians, W. S. Soule. Appendixes. Glossary, Index. Maps. One of the classic and important military books on the frontier during the Indian Wars. A near fine copy with usual darkening to gilt on the spine titles. The second printing dj is same size as first printing dj with same coloring, lettering, & illustrations including backstrip. Price on the flap is same as on first printing, but repositioned. Minor textual position changes to info on flaps; rear panel with different list of OU books for sale. Because design/color/illus of the dj is the same, I have not discounted the price severely because it is a second printing dj, but of course the prospective buyer may beg to differ.
