All preserved in original flexible softcover black 23-ring binder, w/ embossed & raised red & yellow lettering on front cover, rounded corners, yapp edges (minor edgewear, some staples interior, numerous pencil annotations for pricing and features), still VG copy. First editions of this informative collection of service & parts manual catalogues assembled by Pacific Hoist & Derrick for their CARCO customers, focusing on their hoists for Allis-Chalmers tractors, International, Carcomatic & Caterpillar tractors for logging operations. Pacific Car and Foundry during the Mid-20th-Century saw a tremendous demand for logging equipment, caterpillar tractors, sulky’s, yarders, construction equipment, and and related equipment. The Pacific Car and Foundry Co. was originally founded in 1905 as Seattle Car Manufacturing to produce railway and logging equipment in its West Seattle Plant, and later merged with Pacific Car and Foundry and relocated to Renton. The Company has now become PACCAR, Inc., and the Winch Division located in Oklahoma, and includes the brand names of CARCO, Braden, and Gearmatic.
