First printing. 1988. Fine and Very Good. Dust jacket has slight shelf wear and printing on cover is somewhat faded, no worn corners though, (except for tiny nick on upper back corner). Hardcover is fine with black cloth binding and author's names and book title in gilt on spine. Black front board has author's signature embossed in gilt. Binding is tight, with sharp, clean pages, except for a small stain on back pages edge. 543 pages.

Synopsis

It is a sequel to The Hunt for Red October, based around the development of the Strategic Defense Initiative and its Soviet equivalent, covering themes including intelligence gathering and counterintelligence, political intrigue, and guerrilla warfare in Afghanistan.
