First Edition 1904. Commercial subject related adverts to front end papers. viii + 112pp. 54 figs in text being mainly monochrome photos. Chapters include stable work, Bits, Hands, Side-Saddle Work, Draught Work, The Bearing-rein and Hame-rein, Food and Feeding, Shoeing, The Teeth, the Stable etc. VG Light shelf wear to cloth - mainly colour loss to extremities and light general shelf soiling. Original book seller discreet label to front paste down. A few light foxing spots to end papers. Illustration to p51 has been water colour washed by the hand of a child (not too deleterious- but worthy of mention-see our image) no other notable defects and no previous owner name or insc.
