About This Item
Boston: Ginn and Company, 1908. This antique hardcover book is bound in dark brown cloth with bright gilt lettering on the cover and spine. This book is ex-lib, but has no external markings to that effect; the front inner board is stamped, and bears a bookplate; foxing, wear and soil. The front endpaper has the owner's name, as well as a curious gilt embossed seal. Inner pages are clean. The book is illustrated with seven wonderful engraved portraits; the engravings are so well-preserved and crisp that you can feel the texture of the lines on the page. Muller, a former pupil of Wenckebach, writes lovingly about this educator, who taught at Wellesley College. 290 pages; approx. 5"x8". . First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket. Illus. by Engravings.
