About This Item
London : Jones & Co., 1830. A pleasing antique print - the exterior of the old Carpenters' Hall, destroyed in 1941. Engraved by William Henshall (1774-1843) from an original drawing by Thomas Hosmer Shepherd, the master recorder of nineteenth-century London. Originally produced for Shepherd's part-work series "London and its Environs in the Nineteenth Century" (London : 1829-1832). Steel line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 104 x 147mm (approx. 4-1/8" x 5-3/4"). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print. Adams 161/010.
