London: Philip Allan. Good with no dust jacket. [1932]. First Edition. Hardcover. Xxx, 275 pp. Octavo. No date but 1932. Dark red original cloth with blind ruling, gilt to the spine. Covers are generally moderately worn, spine tips rubbed and started to fray, front cover a little forward. Interior inside front cover scar from a bookplate being removed, some small pencil notes on preliminaries, one page has a small fore-edge chip, last blank has extensive reader notes including citations in light pencil, otherwise clean and unmarked. Aged but still respectable and a very scarce true first edition. Arthur Lynch (1861-1934) was a much-published engineer/polymath/philosopher who wrote this work arguing against the Theory of Relativity shortly before his death. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 275 pages .
