Government report on Richard Burton's troubled tenure and recall as Consul in Damascus. Published for Foreign Office use, not to be distributed. In fact Burton did encounter problems and was recalled. This Foreign Office publication is a record of his tenure and recall as Consul. Penzer p. 216. Extremely scarce; no copies located in U.S. libraries. Hard Cover. 141 pages, 28.5 cm. Fine, new from publisher. Stock#42464x.
