About This Item

New York: Grosset & Dunlap, 1906. Book. Illus. by David Ericson. Very Good. Hardcover. 7 1/2 h x 5w. A nice 367 pageSeptember 1906 first printing Grosset & Dunlap hardcover. Illustrated by David Ericson. Also has 8 more pages of ads in back. Has moderate general wear over all with a little more on the heel of spine. Still a nice book. Chapter 1 starts off: The hot weather had come suddenly, at least a month earlier than usual, and New York lay baking under a scorching sun when Miss Hetty Torrance sat in the coolest corner of the Grand Central Depot she could find. It was by her own wish she had spent the afternoon in the city unattended, for Miss Torrance was a self-reliant young woman; but it was fate and the irregularity of the little gold watch, which had been her dead mother's gift, that brought her to the depot at least a quarter of an hour too soon.

About Warren's Books

I have been selling books since 1976. I am not a mega-lister that just types in an ISBN and paste a message of how great I am or how many books we\I sell. I list each book carefully trying to tell the faults and positives of our book. Most of the time I will tell what the book is about and list if it a first edition, hardcover or has a dust jacket. Photos of books are usually my scan and not a stock photo. If you have any questions, please ask. If you decide to pay with check or money order, please make it out to Warren Hahn, That's me!! I have about 5,200 books online with another 200 to list.
