Front page features full-page drawing of an elaborate Italian sculpture, ""Love's Messenger"" at the Philadelphia Centennial Exposition. Editorial: ""The End of the Centennial Year"" Expectations for the next centennial, in 1976. Dreawings of Lambeth Pottery Exhibit, from London; Italian Sculpture; Gloucester, Massachusetts fishing and fish products exhibit, Minnesota exhibit; ""Birth of Cupid"" and ""The Rebuke"" sculptures. Report of official closing of the Centennial Exhibition on Nov. 10, 1876. Grand total of 2,364,000 visitors stayed in West Philadelphia hotels. Some will now be converted into private dwellings.
