New York: Robert M. McBride & Company, 1920. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7?" - 9?" tall. Type: Hardback Early reprint. Hardcover in Good Condition. No jacket. Brown cloth binding with gilt debossed sketch of a horse on the lower front corner, title on spine with gilt rubbed off is difficult to see. Binding if wuite clean and unmarked. Boards are rubbed along edges,light wear to corners, with bottom rear corner scuffed; spine heel cloth has tears; spine head cloth has a less than quarter inch piece missing from the top. Sewn binding is tight and solid. Rough cut on fore edge and lower edge. Pages very clean and unmarked, some tears along fore edge where pages were cut open, no creases, evenly toned, with some pages having small pieces out of fore edge, it looks like from when pages were cut. Consists of ten short stories around the works of ten poets plus two poems. James Branch Cabell (1879- 1958) was an American author of fantasy fiction. Although escapist literature, his works are ironic and satirical. 253 pages. 5 x 8 inches. Robert M McBride Publishers, New York, 1920.
