Hawkins, at the Middle-Temple Gate in Fleet Street,, 1757. 2 works in 1 vol., 8vo., Fourth Edition of each work, on laid paper, with copper-engraved frontispiece and 2 plates (first work), and 3 engraved plates (second work), frontispiece and title of first work mildly browned (title clipped at upper outer corner), neat nineteenth century signature on front paste-down; contemporary marbled boards, roan back with flat bands in gilt, neatly rebacked with old backstrip laid down, blue sprinkled edges, a very good, crisp, clean copy. 'The Chase', an epic piece in praise of hunting was first published in 1735; 'Hobbinol', a burlesque on rural May Day games was first published in 1740. NCBEL II, 568
