About This Item
United Kingdom: Chambers, 1932. Book. Good. Hardcover. 1st Edition. Original edition July 1932. Book and jacket have several major flaws. Unclipped jacket has heavy wear many tears and losses but is 95% present. Pink stain to front leading edge transmitted from the boards which show evidence of colour bleed. There is a neat 4 line ink inscription to the front free end paper dated 1933. Extensive foxing is present on many pages The last plate is badly damaged it has a long tear that has been fixed for most of its length and has a small piece of archival tape to the back of the plate to prevent it re-tearing. The edges of the plate are badly worn having been protruding from the book and the edges eaten by insects. All of the plates have been reglued back into the binding. Scarce 1st edition.
