Top edge of text block is slightly dusty. Inside pages are clean and unmarked. Dust jacket is lightly shelf rubbed. The spine is somewhat faded. A fictionalized account of part-Cree guide George Elson and his experiences in James Bay, on the ill-fated Hubbard-Wallace expedition to Labrador in 1903, and as a guide for Mina Benson Hubbard two years later. Illustrated with several pages of black and white photographs. .
