About This Item

London: Efingham WIlson, 1833. First edition. Hardcover. Good. Three volumes, 8vo. Frontispieces in each volume. Original boards, printed paper labels. The hinges are weak and show some separation, but the boards are well attached. The frontispieces are foxed and that has offset onto the first few pages, including the endpapers. Otherwise, the textblocks are in very good to fine condition. Armorial bookplate in volume one with the Briggs motto "Fortiter et Fideliter". Also with the smapp stamp of A. C. Briggs on each free front endpaper. EAch volume with a cloth dustwrapper and housed in a matching slipcase. Rare in boards.
