Dark-maroon boards with gilt lettering and floral decorations. Boards are clean and bright (show little wear). Frontispiece portrait of Father Lowder. This was apparently an ADVANCE COPY as there is label pasted on bottom of title page: "To the Literary Editor of the Advance with the Compliments of F.H. Revell, 148 & 150 Madison Street, Chicago - Price $2.00 - Please send us a marked copy of the paper containing the review." Tight spine. 6 pages show light foxing - otherwise, pages show tanning. NO tears inside book. 366 pages. Previous owner's name label in book front "Emma F. Jones" 12 pages have light pencil writing (can be erased). Small price notation and number in book front (in ink). .
