Laid in is a printed "Note on the printing of The Chaste Planet" from the publisher.. First Edition. Softcover. Copy "V" of 26 lettered and signed by Updike. Special Foreword by Updike. The first book of this then-new press - whose printer-publisher William Ferguson had printed other Updike booklets under a different masthead. This lettered issue has always been very scarce. 8vo boards with 1/4 leather spine. PLEASE NOTE that all our First Editions are also First Printings, unless we specifically note otherwise. All our dust jackets are protected in clear mylar covers.
