About This Item
Wells Gardner, Darton & Co., London, 1914. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Fair/No Jacket. 412 pages (complete). A packed book of childhood fun in fair to poor condition. The book is scruffy and has been owned with contentment and pleasure. There is sporadic hand-colouring of some illustrations. The board covers are jolly and sturdy. There is wear all about. The cloth spine is also worn but is intact and secure. The contents are foxed, comfortable. The colour plates are clean and clear (one at page 33 entitled 'Soldiers of the Queen' shows the original frontage of Buckingham Palace but confusingly also the Victoria Memorial). The pages are triumphant, jolly and comforting and assured. fk. Our orders are shipped using tracked courier delivery services.
