Sound binding, slightly cocked, in blue, cloth-covered boards with gilt titles and black stamped decoration. Wear to edges and corners, with one corner bumped. Some overall edge soiling. Foxing on the endpapers, preliminaries, and less so on some of the pages. Inside pages have occasional light soiling and age toning. The second of the Chautauqua series of books written by American author Isabella Macdonald Alden. A scarce, Canadian imprint, often seen in reprints by varied American publishers. .
