Dark purple coloured end pages with gilt coloured design. The text is illustrated with black-and-white drawings by Michael Jackson. Yellow coloured faux silk place marker in situ, with fraying of the end. Red coloured imitation leather coloured binding with gilt coloured decoration to the front panel and back strip. Gilt coloured titles to the back strip. Set during World War II and deals with the question of racism in the US forces; and of redemption of men. The Works of Nevil Shute series published by Heron Books. Minor rubbing of the book corners back strip corners. Age toning of the text block edges and pages. Cocking of the spine.
