New York, New York, U.S.A.: Grosset & Dunlap, 1947. First Thus . Hardcover. Very Good+. Book #8 in the vintage girls' series featuring nurse Cherry Ames (CA). Orig. published in 1947, this is the First Edition, slightly later printing, in this new hardcover format from the early 1960s, with matte decorative paper over boards, no DJ as issued (these editions never had them). No list of other titles in front, lists to CA "Country Doctor's Nurser" on back cover. Condition is VG+; very clean & bright, binding strong & straight, pages just slightly off-white. Very light soiling to exterior page edges, extremely mild rubbing & corner bumping. Old gift inscription on half title page in pen dated 1962; else unmarked. Front endpapers faded around edges.
