Hardback 193 page book about "Miss Nellie" from Mount Vernon and her little slave girl Susannah on a trip to New York shows rubbing of edges with boards exposed at corners, has a gift inscription dated Xmas 1945, has a damaged personal book plate which has been glued over some writing inside front cover, has a name written on free front endpaper, a blank endpaper has been glued down inside rear cover for cosmetic reasons, some gluing for tightening, and some pages have smudges, etc. Still, overall good-nice black and white pictures of Nellie and Susannah having their adventures.
