About This Item

Murder is always abhorrent, but when the aggressor is a child, perhaps even more so. In a follow up to his excellent book 'Murderess', Patrick Wilson has collected over fifty global case histories in an attempt to show the underlying causes behind such child violence. Some cases are likely to be familiar to the reader (Mary Bell, for example) but many will not. Wilson looks at the legal issues surrounding such cases, and also proposes that the child who murders desperately needs society's help and tolerance. The appendix looks at the capital punishment of children. A serious, considered and rigorous work.

Book is in first rate condition, obviously looked after in exemplary fashion down the years. Pages are intact, clean, unmarked and uncreased. No apparent foxing or stains at all visible. Cloth covers are clean and tight. The dust jacket is unclipped, complete, and in an excellent state with little noticeable wear. The very faintest of rubbing and the most minor shelf wear. Book is now covered in professional removable clear wrapper. 191 pp with appendix and sources
