Printed by Smith Settle, Otley. Assumed First Edition - no date or ISBN stated. Pictorial, blue, hardcover. 24pp. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" Tall. Some of the children's colour artwork used was submitted for the Endeavour Exhibition at Whitby Spa. The last page lists the 39 artists who supplied the drawings - a mix of sophisticated and juvenile color illustrations. Tom and Cordelia Stamp are known for other publications on James Cook and William Scoresby. Minor edgewear with rubbing to corners and spine edge. Pages clean, tight and unmarked. Uncommon.
