BRIDGMAN [Lewis Jesse]. 8vo; xiv, 443pp; illustrated tan cloth over board, vignette of a child playing with a cat and kittens to front; 47 full-page b&w illustrations including frontispiece; light fading to cover, lightly shaken; very good. Second issue of this title. Stories, poetry, and teacher's notes on content that is both informative and entertaining. The author, Anne Emilie Poulsson (1853-1939), was an author who went blind early in her life from an eye infection. She was an advocate for early childhood education and involved in the kindergarten movement to prepare children for school.
