Tiny red stamp of a house on top text block. Hard cover in very good condition with yellow boards and off-white spine cloth with gold gilt lettering on spine and front board. Boards show light shelf wear with dust dulling; about 5 vertical inches of light foxing to the spine cloth on front; light warp to front board. Gift inscription at top of front free end paper, no other writing in text. Text block otherwise clean & tight; no markings to note. Includes a section of 8 leaves / 16 pages glossy black & white photographs. 207 numbered pages. Dust jacket in very good condition with only ghost of shelf & edge wear; has been price clipped. * From the jacket flap, ""Jan Bredsdorff is a young Danish author who has written five books on China, having lived there on and off from 1965 through 1977.
