Book carries the stamp of 'United Church of Canada Foreign Missions Library', DDS identifier in white ink on spine and '2' in black ink ffep. Rear pastedown carries revised ( 1912) coloured Missionary Map of China compiled by Harlan P. Beach. Frontis; b/w photo of Yuan Shih Kai. Preface by author dated March 30, 1912 at New York. Besides frontis there are 24 other b/w illustrations. 212 pp. plus Index and Map. Red boards have gilt text on spine and front panel . Book has scuffed extremities and sizable ding mid rear fore edge. Book is tight and square. Bookseller's Inventory # 122657
