Binding soiled, stains on front board, tight & clean internally; 3/4 vellum, 8" by 5.5", paper spine label identifying this as a large paper copy, mottled boards, viii, 288p., index. **Copy #10 of 50: "This edition.strictly limited to fifty copies, was printed entirely from type, distributed immediately after printing. " **Embossed address stamp "33 Linnaen Street, Cambridge, Massachusetts" on end-paper and title-page. With contemporary inscription "Louise F. Hunt, April 24th, 1889, SFL." A later inscription by Montgomery A. Crockett identifies S. F. L. as Charles F. Latham who translated Dante's Letters, with further account of Latham's residing with his Aunt Lou. .
