About This Item

London: Michael Joseph,, 1968. First edition, first impression, of the author's last book published in his lifetime. The work inspired the ITV television series Chocky (1984) and its sequels Chocky's Children (1985) and Chocky's Challenge (1986). The novel was published in the US as a paperback slightly earlier. Octavo. Original black boards, spine lettered in gilt. With dust jacket. Lean to spine, light foxing to edges, else clean; bright unclipped jacket with a little creasing: a very good copy in near-fine jacket.
