Tan cloth, gilt titles to board, black lettered title to spine, Japanese kanji to board. 20 b&w photog. plates including b&w tissue guarded frontis. Previous owner's name to flyleaf, with ex-libris plate to front pastedown. Some pencil marks to front pastedown. Corners bumped, some marks to front cover, light wear to cover edges, internally clean and unmarked. Uncommon photographs reflecting Japanese society in the late C19th.
