J.M. Dent & Sons Ltd, London, 1958. First Edition. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Good Condition/No Dust Jacket. Illustrator: Linell Nash. The text is illustrated with black and white, bicoloured and coloured frontispiece, all drawn by Linell Nash. Red coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured titles to the backstrip. A tale, told in verse, about how Christmas almost didn't happen one year. Softening and rubbing to the backstrip edges and to the book corners with bumping occurring to the top book corners. Fading, flecking and general wear can be seen to the edges of the book. Fading to the backstrip and there is a large watermark to the rear book panel. Browning and some foxing of the textblock edges and Browning of the pages. This is the first UK edition. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 54 pages.. Please refer to accompanying picture (s).
