From the library of John Michael Hayes, with his signature on the front free endpaper. Hayes wrote the screenplay and collaborated with Alfred Hitchcock on four films: Rear Window, To Catch a Thief, The Trouble with Harry and The Man Who Knew Too Much. He had a career writing for radio, televison and film that spanned over five decades. The filmscripts for Peyton Place (nominated for an Oscar) and Butterfield 8 are among his other credits.
