About This Item
The First UK printing published by Thornton Butterworth In 1932. The BOOK is in Very Good condition. Original textured cloth with two horizontal rules and publisher's device blind-stamped on boards. Lettered in blue to the front board and spine. Upper front corner slightly bumped with a very faint stain to the front board. Bookplate fo Cecil G.W, Eve to the front pastedown. The WRAPPER is in Very Good- condition. It is the correct First Issue wrapper priced at '7'6' net' to the spine and not to be confused with the 'Overseas edition" wrapper which is unpriced and different in design. Some areas of loss at the spine and edges corresponding to the fading fo the cloth. A little chipping and toning overall but extremely scarce to find in any condition. The wrapper is protected in a loose archival cover. A sharp copy of Mitford's second novel illustrated by Mark Ogilvie-Grant. Collectible. Ashton Rare Books welcomes direct contact.
