New York, G.P. Putnam's Sons, The Knickerbocker Press, 1893.. 1893 Two volumes. xxx, 379; xiv, 405, [1] p. Frontis. and plates which are protected by tissues. Agapida Edition. Publisher's ornately gilt white cloth bindings over bevelled boards designed to resemble ornate vellum bindings, with decorative printed endpapers in an arbesque pattern. The text throughout is printed within red and black borders. The cloth is toned and there is some spotting, mainly to the edges of the text blocks. Otherwise clean and tight. There is a gift inscription dated Xmas 1892 to the verso of a front endpaper. An impressive piece of 1890s book design.
