Illustrated with 80 wood-engravings by Doyle, plus color vignette of Julius Caesar Medallion
and some woodcut initials printed in red. It is the largest book Edmund Evans produced and the last book he printed on a hand-press.
Rubbing to joints, edges, light foxing, a few pages have light brown stain in outer margins.
Pg. 427 trimmed shorter at outer and bottom edges. Some creases and light brown stains at margin edges. Otherwise the text and illustrations are bright & tight.
