Edinburgh, London: Cadell and Company, Simpkin and Marshall, 1827. TWO VOLUMES uniformly bound. Marbled board, endpapers, and edges. Green and black leather spine labels. Corners and edges lightly worn. Bound without half-titles. Six pages of adverts at end of Volume 2. This is the first occasion that Scott used his real name in a book, albeit at the conclusion of the introductory remarks. A clean and appealing set. Title-page of Volume 1 shows several areas of light foxing. Sir Walter Scott (1771-1832) was a Scottish novelist, poet, playwright, and historian. Binding identical to our #015389.. First Edition. 1/4 Red Leather. Light Cover Wear/No Dust Jacket. Small Octavo.
