Book Condition: Near Fine; lightly bumped upper tips. DJ: Very Good +; bumping to head and upper tips; small closed tear onto of front panel. Red grained boards and spine with bright gilt lettering on the spine. 234 pp 4to. The 45th Infantry Division, the Thunderbird Division, was organized in 1920 as a midwest division but after World War II it was an Oklahoma only division. The book is an enlivened account of the division by soldiers and civilians who served in Korea, Vietnam, and all over Europe. The Oklahoma National Guard began in 1890 in the Oklahoma Territory and has been under state control ever since with action in 1916 on the Mexican Border, World War I, and World War II. The Oklahoma Air National Guard is included as is the ONG part in the US Army's Total Force Concept. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket. Due to weight/size, no international shipping.
