About This Item

A stunning first printing of the first American edition [Putnam NY (1989)], inscribed by author Tom Clancy directly on the half title page to decorated US Army veteran Colonel Floyd R Martin. The book is in near fine condition with some toning on the page edges and bumping at the spine ends but no remainder marks, a tight and square binding, with no owner inscriptions or highlighting and no staining or marking. The dust jacket is also in near fine condition, not price-clipped ($21.95), with some toning on the flaps but with no creases, chips or tears and absolutely minimal shelf wear. It is now protected by an archival cover which is easily removable. Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information about this wonderful and truly unique book.
