About This Item

1st edition. Dolly was the first creature to be born from the genetic material of a single cell. Kolata gives the first full account of the history of cloning, from the experimants of Hans Spermannover 60 years ago to the case of David Rorvik who claimed to have helped a childless millionaire to clone himself in the 1970s and to Karl Illmensee's experiments in the 1980's. There is a dedication written neatly on the front endpaper, otherwise in very good condition in a very good unclipped dustwarapper.
