This copy Satin (Mounted on Imperial) of which is one of only 7 produced from a limited edition of 735 produced in various forms. Blue Morocco, 5 raised bands, Gilt embellishments and titles. Satin endpapers with Gilt embellishments to front and rear pastedowns. All fore edges are tipped in gilt. One contemporary name and date 0f 1866 to ffep. Contemporary gift inscription in ink from Robert Watson Wade (Who is also one of the subscribers listed) to John Capel esq and dated 1823 to ffep. 107pp and printed by John Johnson, St James Street, Clerkenwell in 1817 Book condition: Some moderate to heavy rubbing to board and spine edges. Small pull at the head of the spine. Tiny amount of loss to the base of the spine. One worm hole in the rear board. 2mm deep. Long since vacated. Blue satin endpapers a trifle foxed. Some foxing to the first fifteen or so pages. Silk marker still attached and in good condition. Some mild offsetting to the first 6 pages (May have been tipped back in at some stage). Front hinge is cracked but the book is firmly bound and stands square.
