First edition of Coarse Fish, With Notes on Taxidermy Fishing in the Lower Thames, Etc. by Charles H. Wheeley in the original publisher's cloth binding. Charles H. Wheeley was a member of the Piscatorial Society, the Guilford Angling Society, and the Thames Angling Preservation Society. He was a Honorary Assistant Riverkeeper to the Thames Conservancy. This guidebook to coarse fishing has 42 illustrations, including twelve monochrome plates. The frontispiece has a tissue guard. Collated, complete.Includes 2 pages of advertisements to the front and 2 pages of advertisements to the rear. In original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, very smart. There is some light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Some marks to the front board. The front hinge is slightly strained but firm. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with the occasional spot. Very Good
