New York: Knopf, 1954. First Edition. Signed and inscribed by the author, William Gibson to Alice Knopf, daughter-in-law to Alfred A. Knopf, the books publisher. Fine in a very good dust jacket with a couple of tiny tears and minute chips with some darkening at spine. The basis of the 1955 Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer dramatic motion picture directed by Vincente Minnelli and starring Richard Widmark, Lauren Bacall, Charles Boyer, Oscar Levant, Lillian Gish, Gloria Grahame, and Susan Strasberg.
