Edinburgh, Scotland: Adam and Charles Black, 1887. Hardcover. Good/Without Dust Wrapper (As Issued). 4to - 9.75 to 12" tall. Good - This Impression of this work is limited to five hundred copies medium quarto and forty-five copies large paper copies. Signed by the Publisher. Three uniformly bound volumes with green cloth boards and leather title plate on the spine, black end papers and gilt applied to the head of the test block. Volume I: David I A.D. 1124 to Robert III A.D. 1406, xxii, 365 pages. Volume II: James I A.D. 1406 to Anne A.D. 1707. Volume III: Plates and descriptions of the Figures, vii, lxxviii plates. Condition: Each volume has minor wear to the boards and to the leather spine title plate, " Scottish Dictionary Joint Council Library" plate affixed to the front paste down of each volume (this is the only indication of previous ownership), pages are very lightly tanned at the extremities otherwise contents are clean, bright and tight. As this item weighs over 1kg when packed additional postage will be required for delivery outside of the United Kingdom.
