[10], 292, [2] pp. Blue decorated publisher’s cloth, borders in purple & yellow, gilt lettering (minor shelfwear, rubbing), w/ d.j. striking sinister Art Deco cover art by Nick (minor dustsoiling, edgewear, slight chipping foot of spine), VG/VG- copy, from library of M.J. Miller w/ bookplate on front pastedown. Second printing of this sinister horror suspense set against the backdrop of an evening on the Island of Capri, relating the dark and suspenseful events of the Humphrey Furnival and his Cold Harbour mansion. Exceedingly scarce in original jacket.
