In 1847, Hunt was appoint chemist and mineralogist of the geological survey of Canada. During the 25 years he held this joint position, he made many chemical or geological reports of significant importance. In 1872, he was appointed Professor of Geology at MIT. A scarce and interesting collection. Library bookplate on front pastedown. Each pamphlet has some library markings, indicating who donated each pamphlet to Harvard.
