San Francisco & Berkeley: NBAU, 1985-1987. Four handbills measuring approx. 27.5x21.5cm. to 35.75x21.5cm.; illus. Faint previous mail folds, else a Near Fine collection. Includes:. 1. "Quarantine." San Francisco, 1985. Printed on blue stock. Announcing an NBAU protest April 29, 1985, including a rush hour "Quarantine of Treasure Island" and midmorning "Disruptions in the Financial District."
2. "Demonstration! denounce and demonstrate against george shultz and all the 'peace-talking' war mongers." San Francisco, 1985. Announcement for a protest at the Fairmont Hotel February 22, 1985. "A Call to Act" printed on verso.
3. "There's No Business Like No Business Like No Business At All!" Berkeley, 1985. Announcing a national planning conference December 1st and 2nd, 1985.
4. "No Business as Usual Greets...The Star Wars Criminals Conferenc[e] Monday, Dec 1st..." San Francisco, 1987. Announcement for a protest against the second annual conference of the Strategic Defense Initiative, December 1st, 1987.
The "No Business as Usual" campaign was organized by a coalition of Revolutionary Communist Party members, anarchists, and other activists critical of both the defense industry and of the previously non-violent and reformist political agenda prevalent within the anti-nuclear movement.
